Text and photos from an early 20th century journey from Tucson across the desert southwest to Sonoyta and finally to the Gulf of California by William T Hornaday and a party including Dr. Daniel Trembly MacDougal and Godfrey Sykes.

A book by William Hornaday - the author of "Campfires in the Canadian Rockies" - about a November 1907 expedition from Tucson to the Gulf of California. The book includes travel details, discussions of the plants, animals and terrain, photos and maps. Also notable is that the expedition includes Tucsonans Dr. Daniel Trembly MacDougal and Godfrey Sykes.
