Mountain Parks and the Sonoran Desert Conservation Concept Plan

Created by Charles Miles on 6/5/2020. Updated on 3/24/2024.

A 1999 report discussing Mountain Parks and Preserves in Pima County and their potential role in conservation as part of the Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan.

This 1999 report on Pima County Mountain Parks is largely outdated and doesn't reflect many land ownership changes, Pima County Open Space acquisitions and later planning efforts that have been made since this report was produced.

But with details on history and natural resources and interesting perspective on older plans/ideas it is still somewhat interesting.

Source: PDF from ASU Digital Repository. Pima County offers an HTML version of the report but it lacks images.
