Ironwood Forest National Monument by Truck - from Sasco Road on the north side, between Cerro Prieto and Pan Quemado on Arizona State Trust Land, south on old narrow roads thru the Samaniego Hills and out of the monument on Silverbell (dodging Iron Cross Blister Beetles making there way across the road!).

Ironwood, Prickly Pear and Cholla flowers - beautiful views from the Samaniego Hills over the yellow-topped Palo Verdes to Ragged Top and Walcott Peak, the Silver Bell and Waterman Mountains - this would be a great training run/hike - but today's 100+ temperatures suggested photography from the truck...
