I had disturbed a great blue heron and it had flown along the river - I was hoping to get a better view of it and was moving cautiously and not only did I see the heron but also this troop of Coati!!! They either ignored me or did not know I was there was at least several minutes - wishing I had more than my little point and shoot along, I think I could have gotten some great shots!

When I first saw this picture I thought that there was some odd error/mistake - the road ahead and behind look so similiar - really just in the middle of nowhere with Creosote all around!

The land here was just a bit different - not sure if the impact was grazing or... The signs in the area noted that berms had been build and reseeding done - perhaps to restore this area - a restoration on the N-Bar ranch is also mentioned on the signs.

The whole point of this run was looking for a decent connector from Cochise over to the San Pedro without needing to cross private land - it was great to reach Middlemarch Road without any problems.
