This PDF combines materials made available by the Grand Canyon National Park into a single PDF. This file was created before an October 2019 to have a single file I could put on phone/computer/tablet that provides good basic planning resources.

Included in the file:

• Backcountry Use Area Map: Any overnight backcountry trip in the park is going to require knowing what Use Area you will be in, this is shown on some, but not all, trail maps and might be easier to read from this dedicated map.
• All of the NPS PDF Trail Brochures: these PDFs don't generally include maps or photos, but they do include quite a bit of useful information.
• Backcountry Use Statistics: The Grand Canyon is heavily used and any Backcountry Trip is going to involve obtaining permits - regardless of whether you are applying as early as possible or walking up to the window at the Backcountry Office when you get to the canyon it is useful to have some idea in advance how heavily used an area is. Both a heat map and a detailed table are included - both are subject to change over time and don't always tell the full story of how hard/easy a permit might be to get - but these are great quick reference materials.
