Ironwood Forest National Monument by Truck - from Sasco Road on the north side, between Cerro Prieto and Pan Quemado on Arizona State Trust Land, south on old narrow roads skirting east of the Samaniego Hills and out of the monument on Silverbell.

Almost a repeat of last week but since then the Cholla flowers have shriveled, the Saguaros are blooming and our route took us past beautiful reminders of the monument's past.
